According to heavyweight contender Manuel Charr (21-0, 11 KOs), he suffered a right bicep injury in the fourth round of his decision win over Taras Bydenko (28-5, 12KOs) on Friday night in Cologne, Germany. Charr, who promoted the event under his own company, struggled to get a twelve round unanimous decision victory. All three judges saw it 116-111, but there were many who disagreed with the score and saw Bydenko as the close points winner.
During the fourth round, Charr says Bydenko caught him with a very hard shot on the bicep and he was unable to use his right hand for most of the contest. He plans to get it checked out to determine the severity of the injury.
