Manuel Charr Returns on January 19 in Villahermosa

By Miguel Rivera

As previously reported on BoxingScene.com, WBC super featherweight mandatory challenger Sergio "Yeyo" Thompson will return on January 19th at the Convention Center in the city of Villahermosa, Tabasco.

Heavyweight Manuel Charr's team has confirmed that he will indeed appear as part of the card. The event is being promoted by Cancun Boxing, Pepe Gomez and Golden Boy Promotions. Televisa Deportes and Fox Sports will televise.

Charr's opponent has not been named but a few days ago he destroyed Konstantin Airich in the first round of their WBC regional title match in Germany. Charr (22-1, 12KOs) will defend his WBC Baltic/Mediterranean titles in the upcoming match. A few months ago he was stopped in the fourth round by WBC champion Vitali Klitschko due to cuts.
