Manuel Charr, Boytsov Score Knockout Wins in Germany

Karl Eckel Halle, Hattersheim am Main, Hessen, Germany - In a fight for the WBC Baltic and Mediterranean heavyweight titles, Manuel Charr (24-1, 14KOs) stopped overmatched Oleksiy Mazikin (14-9-2, 4KOs) in the third round. Mazikin was punished with punches to the head and the body before it was finally over.
Unbeaten heavyweight Denis Boytsov (33-0, 26KOs) made his return to the ring and knocked out Oleksandr Nesterenko (9-2, 4 KOs) in the third round. It was Boytsov's second fight of the year, after winning an eight round unanimous decision over Samir Kurtagic in February.
Junior middleweight Denis Krieger (9-1, 6KOs) stopped Burak Cakir (0-2) in the first round.
Cruiserweight contender Enad Licina (23-4, 13KOs) knocked out Marcel Zeller (22-10) in the third round of action.
Junior middleweight Vito Vendetta (8-0-1, 3KOs) won a six round unanimous decision over Dursun Berkta (0-8).
Junior welterweight Renato Bovi (8-1, 3KOs) stopped Aleksandar Nikolic (2-3) in the third round.
Boytsov will hopefully fight Helenius for the WBO mandatory to Wlad next.Comment by yoz on 06-16-2013
