Adviser Michael Koncz is on board with a move to junior welterweight by WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao (56-5-2, 38KOs), who skipped from 135 to 147 but fought at junior welterweight in 2009 and had a brutal knockout of Ricky Hatton in two rounds.

Pacquiao faces undefeated WBO 140-pound champion Chris Algieri (20-0, 8KOs) on November 22nd in Macau, China. The title defense is taking place at a catch-weight of 144-pounds and it could be the final fight for the Filipino star at 147.

“Moving down to 140-pounds is good for Manny since that’s his natural weight,” Koncz told The Manila Times. “We already talked about it many times and we’re expecting that’s also a good division for him. There are many names in the light welterweight class like Danny Garcia and most of them want to fight Pacquiao."
