Ariza quoted trainer Freddie Roach as telling him Pacquiao’s recent sparring “was his best so far.”

He sparred with tough Russian welterweight Ruslan Provodnikov (21-1, 14 KO’s), lightweight Rustam Nugaev ( 22-6-1, 12 KO’s) and American super featherweight Roger Gonzalez (27-5, 18 KO’s).

Ariza who teamed up with Roach some two weeks before Pacquiao demolished WBC lightweight champion David Diaz in nine rounds told the Manila Standard that while he got tagged with a big punch from Provodnikov “but that didn’t bother him. We are on the right track.”

Ariza said “its been a long time since I’ve seen him (Manny) do that kind of footwork and that kind of movement and throw strong, hard punches and move in and out.”

The strength and conditioning coach was also pleased to note that Pacquiao doesn’t have cramps in his legs anymore. I think we are on the right track to solve that problem.”
Idiotic? When was the last time Pac beat a fresh, bonafide elite fighter on the upside of his career?
Well JMM gave the performance of his career in his last Pacquiao fight and still lost so I'd say that qualifies wouldn't you?
