Manfredo Targets Kelly Pavlik For Pacquiao-Margarito Card

By Rick Reeno

BoxingScene.com was advised by promoter Lou DiBella that IBO middleweight champion Peter Manfredo Jr. is ready, willing, and able to fight Kelly Pavlik on the undercard to Manny Pacquiao-Antonio Margarito on November 13 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. According to Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, there are ongoing discussions with manager Cameron Dunkin to place Pavlik on the Pacquiao-Margarito undercard.

Additionally, DiBella tells BoxingScene that Manfredo is under serious consideration as a future opponent for WBA champion Felix Sturm - if the German champion defeats Giovanni Lorenzo on September 4.

"I've been on the other end of Kelly Pavlik a number of times. He is a great all-action fighter, but Manfredo is an action fighter himself. Both guys have regional followings. Manfredo would be extremely interested in taking this fight. And if they don't want Manfredo, Ishe Smith is available and very interested in fighting Pavlik," DiBella told BoxingScene.com.

Pavlik's will brutalize Manfredo hands down. You'll only see the fight to see a Pavlik's boxing clinic.
This post provides some good insight into why you are not a manager or promoter.
Yeah, invest all the money on the main event and have all the fighters on the undercard fight for peanuts with one guy in each…

Pavlik should take on Lacy.

Manfredo is a pretty good tune up. A lot better then Rubio or Lockett imo
