Vadim Kornilov, manager of former WBO junior welterweight champion Ruslan Provodnikov, says both boxers must undergo a random drug testing protocol under VADA [Voluntary Anti-Doping Association]. Matthysse (36-3, 34 KOs) vs. Ruslan Provodnikov (24-3, 17 KOs) is an HBO televised junior welterweight showdown, taking place on April 18th from the Turning Stone Casino in Verona, New York.
"Without VADA testing the fight will not happen and we discussed it with the side of Matthysse in advance," Kornilov said.
Fans are already calling the bout the 2015 'Fight of The Year.' Both fighters are promising a war with a vicious knockout ending.
