Vadim Kornilov, manager of WBC International junior welterweight champion Victor Postol (26-0, 11KOs) of Ukraine, says his fighter will look even better if he gets the opportunity to face WBC/WBA 140-pound champion Danny Garcia. Two weeks ago in California, Postol won a final WBC eliminator with a very impressive eleventh round knockout of durable contender Selcuk Aydin of Turkey.

Garcia is likely going to move up in weight very shortly, which is going to open up the door for Postol to fight for an interim-title or the vacant title.

"As a team we were confident that Victor would win, but he exceeded all of our expectations. We are very proud of him. First, we have communicated with WBC, and, considering the high probability of Danny Garcia moving up to welterweight, [Postol can fight for an interim title and then the winner can be considered the full champion]. Otherwise, Garcia will have to meet with us, and in the next fight Victor will be even better than he was against Aydin, because he trained with our new team of only one and a half months," Kornilov said.

I think Postol would beat Garcia. Herrera exposed Garcia. I think Garcia is over rated.
Exactly! Garcia isn't no ****ing Aydin. Lol
Herrera sure as hell made him look like Aydin. One dimensional and showing no ability to adapt whatsoever. After getting a gift decision, Garcia will move on to fight the Braceros of the world.
Aydin's attack was very one dimensional vs Postol who was rocked bad in the first round, then all of a sudden, in the opinion of many "knowledgeable" boxing fans, he beats the undisputed lineal King of 140, the Prince of boxing, the most underrated champion of boxing Danny S...
Pretty much how I see it. Was Aydin ever really good? He beat a dude that would only throw one punch the whole damn fight. If Garcia hurts him he will finish him. It is funny seeing these boxers beating scrubs and their team thinking they can beat the best of the best after. SM...
Is anyone going to call out Ruslan @ 140? This cat is the champ and he's still banished to Siberia. No one seems to want to fight him.
After this fight, depending how it goes, he could get more backing and become a high risk-high reward
