Former IBF light heavyweight contender Karo Murat (29-3-1) takes on unheralded Czech / Ukrainan Yevgeni Makhteienko (8-4) on EC Boxing´s show September 17 in Goeppingen (Germany) with the vacant WBA International title at stake.

Makhteienko holds some good wins on the road against the likes of then undefeated Sven Fornling and Alexander Hagen and is a dangerous puncher.

At the same time the heavyweight clash between Christian Hammer and Timur Stark / Musafarov is off the bill due to a change in the plans for Hammer.

41-year old Italian welterweight Leonard Bundu didn´t just lose to Errol Spence on a bad knockout on August 21 . He was also stripped of the EBU title. It will now be Paulie Malignaggi and Ahmed El Mousaoui that might fight for the vacant title. The EBU has set September 20 as deadline for purse bids or agreement.

British trainer CJ Hussein is in the South of France with an international team of fighters with big fights coming up. Finnish cruiser Juho Haapoja is training for a rematch on September 17 in Seinajoki against Hungarian Tamas Lodi, who knocked out Juho first time around, also on the bill in Finland is welter prospect Kian Thomas while Swedes Anthony Yigit and Mikaela Lauren headlines Sauerland Promotions show in Stockholm September 10.
