Malignaggi Rips Alexander: You Quit, You're a Punk

By Chris Labate

Former junior welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi has struck a few verbal shots in the direction of another ex-140-pound champion, Devon Alexander. Malignaggi calls it a measure of revenge for some of the past comments that were made by Alexander. While Malignaggi never discussed the exact comments made by Alexander, he is probably angry over some of Alexander's comments regarding Amir Khan's selection of Malignaggi as last May's opponent for his American debut.

Malignaggi says "it's his turn" and he's going after Alexander for last Saturday performance in the ten round technical decision loss to Timothy Bradley. Alexander was unable to continue due to a damaged eye.

"Another fighter had some poorly chosen words to say about me, I let him slide until now. It's easy to cast judgements on other fighters when you aint never been tested. On Saturday night [it was] your first time facing adversity [and] you quit like the punk most of us suspected you always were. Remember something, you dont throw stones if you live in a glass house. Win or lose you won't ever see me quit because I fight until the end. You can question my power, my attitude but you can't question my heart! Man up punk," Malignaggi said.
Give me a break...I almost believed that he couln't open his eyes. As soon as the fight was called, he seemed to really be acting that he couldn't open his eyes...he was fine!!! This reminded me of the Abraham vs. Dirrell fight when Dirrell fuc*ing quit like a bi*ch. :bottle: What is ...
Alexander deserves it... after all the big talk... he froze like a punk, ran scared, then quit in the biggest fight of his career. Welcome to Ortizville, baby.
Don't insult Ortiz by lumping him w/ Alexander. Ortiz was in a war. Alexander took a headbutt from the ...

Yeah he quit. He was getting whooped. I thought he would win. Even Lampley and the other jackass couldn't protect him anymore. Paule is telling the truth. he gets hit in one eye and then says he can't open the other.

My EYE!
