Former two-division champion Paulie Malignaggi (33-5, 7KOs) believes he has too much talent, too much experience for undefeated IBF welterweight champion Shawn Porter (23-0-1, 14KOs). They will fight on April 19th at the DC Armory in Washington, DC.
Porter captured the title last December when he won an upset twelve round unanimous decision over Devon Alexander. Malignaggi bounced back from a close split decision loss to Adrien Broner, when he dominated veteran Zab Judah over twelve rounds in December.
"I have got better over the years and I know what sort of fighter I am," said Malignaggi, who overcame fellow veteran Zab Judah on points in December," Malignaggi told Sky Sports Ringside.
"So I plan on nullifying him [Porter] and I am looking forward to taking the championship, even though a lot of people in the States are picking him to win the fight.
"He is a rough-and-tumble kind of guy and can make life difficult with his physical style, and you have to respect someone who beat Devon Alexander, but I don't think he can match me for talent."
