Shamir Petrosyan of Shamo Boxing, a rapidly rising Moscow-based Armenian promoter, staged another multi-fight event of boxing at the Korston Hotel in Moscow, Russia. The show took place this past Wednesday and featured a great share of various prospects from different weight classes. Some of the results have stood out of the line.

Super middleweight Magomed Madiev (8-0, 3 KOs) used all his power to overcome tough Orenburg native Vladimir Galchenko over eight. Madiev dropped Galchenko (now 5-2-1, 2 KOs) in the very first round but the latter stood his ground and resisted vehemently. Scores were: 78-75, 77-75 – for Madiev, and 74-74 – a draw.

It took hard-hitting Moscow-based Ukrainian Arnold Khegai (9-0-1, 7 KOs) less than two rounds to demolish and knock out Georgian import Mishiko Shubitidze (16-7-3, 4 KOs). Time of stoppage was: 1:44.

Fighting for the first time in Russia, Kiev-based Chechen fighter Yusup Kediev (4-0, 3 KOs) got his biggest career win by stopping capable veteran Konstantin Piternov (20-12, 5 KOs) in five. Piternov, 33, was down in the second round. Former Russian super middleweight and light heavyweight champion is now 0-4 in his latest fights.

18-year old Shohjahon Ergashev (7-0, 7 KOs), arguably the night’s biggest talent, made a very quick work of another Georgian Ruben Movsesian, dropping him almost immediately after the start and getting the job done at 1:05 of the very first round. Movsesian drops back to 23-17-1, 18 KOs, all of his wins being in native Georgia. Ergashev is in need of better opponents.

Super featherweight David Agadzhanyan, who went 5-0, 4 KOs, in his brief stay in England, forced Anton Mezhuev (1-4, 1 KO) to retire on his stool after six complete rounds. He is 10-0, 7 KOs, now.
