Magee-Markussen Saga Continues as Fight Talks Live On

By Per Ake Persson

Late last week Brian Magee´s defense of the WBA interim-super middle title against Dane Rudy Markussen, tentatively set for February 18th in Copenhagen, was again pronounced dead. Some says it was never officially on to begin with, but the fight was officially declared off by Kalle Sauerland, who promotes Markussen - and then talks were revived and then off again.

However, this reporter have learned that as late as Monday there were still ongoing negotiations for Magee to face Markussen in Copenhagen February 18.

The parties are close, a TV deal is done, but there are still some details to be worked out and time is running out - so if there´s no agreement within the very immediate future the fight is indeed off.
Larsen is much more skilled. Markussen punches like a mule though. How he copes with a 12 round is a questionmark. It's been many years......
Hopefully Magee does a number on him lol! When this fight was talked about a…
