New York. NY - Junior welterweight contender Hank Lundy (26-5-1, 13KOs) is something out of the norm in boxing circles. He has five losses and one draw and in turn will headline an HBO televised fight against WBO junior welterweight champion Terence Crawford (27-0, 19KOs) at The Theatre at Madison Square Garden.

Officially, Lundy has lost his last two fights on the HBO platform. But unofficially, there are some observers who felt he could have gotten the nod in his two fights with Thomas Dulorme and Mauricio Herrera. And that’s why he feels that he continues to receive these opportunities to fight on the big stage.

Lundy even traveled over to Ukraine three years ago to fight the latest hot shot at 140-pounds, WBC junior welterweight champion Viktor Postol. Lundy lost a competitive twelve round decision.

Lundy says there is no fear of having the odds stacked against him with Crawford, who Top Rank and HBO are grooming as the next pound-for-pound superstar.

“One thing about me man, I’m not afraid to fight people,” Lundy told BoxingScene.com. “As far as Herrera, I beat him. Most guys in my nature wouldn’t go to a guy’s backyard. I beat Herrera in his backyard. I went to Russia in [Viktor Postol's] backyard but of course I wasn’t going to get a decision in Russia. I don’t care where you are where you from, I’ll come to Herrera hometown again. I would have stopped him.”

In an era where a lot of fighters love to protect their zero, Lundy feels his willingness to fight and the fact he hasn’t been clearly beaten is why people watch him.

“One thing about this. I’m not spoon fed,” explained Lundy. “I been in there with the best. The reason I am getting these fights is pretty clear - nobody out there beat my ass and I can stick with that. Nobody has and nobody will.“
