An intriguing lightweight fight is being worked on for Sept. 13 in Canada.
Hammerin' Hank Lundy advised BoxingScene.com that talks are underway to pit him against Dierry Jean on that date.
Lundy (25-3-1, 12 KOs), one of the best trash talkers in the sport, has been impressing since suffering back-to-back decison losses in 2012-13 (defeats to Ray Beltran and Viktor Postol). He bounced back with a wide-points win over Olusegun Ajose, and then a schooling of once-heralded prospect Angelo Santana.
Jean (26-1, 18 KOs) put up a spririted effort in a loss to Lamont Peterson in January and subsequently dropped to lightweight. The Canadian would have home-field advantage in the proposed bout.
