Former WBA flyweight champion Luis Concepcion (24-3, 19KOs) will return to the ring in the month of June. He plans to make a defense of his WBC Latino flyweight title. The opponent is unknown, but his team is indicating that Concepcion is going to face a Colombian opponent who is ranked in the top 15 within the WBC. The only Colombian boxer ranked within the top 15, at flyweight, is Anuar Salas (11-1, 9KOs).
"I'm training every day because I want to be world champion again," said Concepcion. "I'm preparing myself thoroughly because I know that is the only way to reclaim my crown. I will be a world champion again, but this time under the WBC."
