British star Amir Khan is pushing to get a position on the Floyd Mayweather-Marcos Maidana undercard on May 3rd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Khan (28-3, 19KOs) is ready to make his welterweight debut in search of facing Mayweather later in the year.

Former welterweight champion Luis Collazo (35-5, 18KOs) has been mentioned as a potential opponent. He has Khan at the top of his list and waits for a contract to face him.

"We still have not been sent a contract or anything, but I hope they can set up a fight against Khan. My interest is to fight with whoever. If not Khan, then I'll look at other alternatives. Now I'm the fighter that everyone wants to avoid. They think that because I'm older, that I can be easy, but every time they realize I'm difficult and dangerous. If not Khan, then maybe Alexander or Thurman," Collazo told Carlos Gonzalez.

I don't care who Collazo fights so long as we get to see more of him.

I would give Khan real props for taking this and winning. I really think Collazo knocks him out cold.

[QUOTE=Sugar Q]Anyone that thinks Khan can beat Collazo clearly haven't been following boxing that long cause if Collazo was treated fairly he would've had clear decision wins over Hatton and Berto. Both times he was robbed and he also fought a very close fight with a prime Shane Mosley. Collazo ...

Me too. Cause when Collazo gets done with im, there won't be no more reasons to even regard Khan. He should stick to being a headgear sparring partner.
