As previously reported on BoxingScene.com, former three division world champion Adrien Broner is looking to face Lucas Matthysse in the next chapter of his junior welterweight quest. This Saturday night at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Broner and Matthysse will appear in separate Showtime televised fights.

“This isn’t a joke.  There should be three winners on Saturday: two ABs (Adrien Broner and Andre Berto) and then my next opponent, Lucas Matthysse.  That’s what’s happening," Broner said  “(Taylor) knows what he’s in for.  Everybody knows what they’re in for when they fight a guy like me.  But, at the end of the day, I’m going to be victorious."

Matthysse has responded, stating that he hopes Broner is being serious.

“I hope it’s true and it’s not just talk like he always talks,” Matthysse said.
