Flyweight prospect Jonathan “Bomba” González, who debuted last Friday, April 1st, with a TKO, will fight again in the card Ultimate Rivalry headed by WBO Featherweight Champion and camp partner Juan Manuel "Juanma" Lopez against former Champion Orlando Salido, next April 16th at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, in a presentation of Top Rank in association with PR Best Boxing Promotions to be televised on Showtime.
Gonzalez (1-0, 1KO), Gold Medalist in the 2008 Amateur Boxing Youth World Championships and in the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games, will step up to the ring for a four rounds bout against a fighter to be named.
“Jonathan had a fast debut last Friday and we are sure that he is ready to fight again. He is going to have a big exposure in this show, where is going to star his co manager Juanma Lopez”, Promoter Iván Rivera said.
The main event of the night will present López (30-0, 27 KOs) versus Salido (34-11-1, 22 KOs), while the coestelar fight will have former WBO Junior Lightweight, Roman “Rocky” Martinez (24-1-1, 15 KOs) against unbeaten Luis “El Artesano” Cruz (17-0, 14 KOs) for the WBO Latino title in 130 pounds.
Otherwise, lightweight sensation José “Chelo” Gonzalez (14-0 y 10 nocauts) will face an opponent to be named at six rounds; former olympian Carlos Negron (11-0, 7 KOs) will make his second heavyweight fight when face Emerson Chasing Bear (4-1-2, 3 KOs), and also ex olympian Victor Bisbal (18-1, 13 KOs) will face Willie Herring (12-8-3, 3 KOs) in the heavyweights.
Two more fights will complete the show.
