Lomachenko-Oquendo Will Be For WBO Regional Belt

By Ludo Saenz, notifight.com

Two-time Olympic gold medal winner Vasyl Lomachenko will get the opportunity to capture a WBO championship in his pro debut. The World Boxing Organization has sanctioned Lomachenko vs. Jonathan Oquendo (23-3, 16KOs) for the WBO International featherweight championship. The fight is going to take place on the October 12th undercard of the Timothy Bradley vs. Juan Manuel Marquez undercard at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

The winner of Lomachenko-Oquendo will fall in line for the winner of Orlando Salido (39-12-2, 27 KOs) vs. Orlando Cruz (20-2-1, 10 KOs), which also takes place on the same card for the vacant WBO featherweight crown.
