BoxingScene.com spoke with promoter Lou DiBella, who denied published reports that a deal was done for super featherweight Jason Litzau (28-2, 21 KOs) to fight Daniel Ponce De Leon (41-2, 34 KOs). However, Golden Boy Promotions have presented an offer for Litzau to fight unbeaten Adrien Broner (19-0, 16 KOs) in the HBO televised co-feature to Saul Alvarez-Matthew Hatton, which takes place on March 5.
Litzau's management have yet to accept the Broner offer. Ponce De Leon is also in the running to face Broner in the March 5 co-feature.
"There is no deal for Litzau to fight Ponce De Leon. Any report stating there's a deal is false. I'm the co-promoter, along with John Wirt of Square Ring, and I can tell that there is no deal. Actually, in the last few days the only offer discussed was a fight against Adrien Broner," DiBella told BoxingScene.com.
