Licina Vows To Do a "Rocky Balboa" on Cunningham
By Raphael Kyc
On February 12 in Mulheim, Germany, cruiserweight Enad Licina (19-2, 10 KOs) will get the biggest opportunity of his pro career. The Serbian boxer will face IBF champion Steve Cunningham (23-2, 12 KOs) of America. Although experts do not give Licina any chance of victory, he intends to pull off a big upset in order to fulfill his dreams.
"I'm well prepared to fight with Cunningham. I can not wait to fight. Initially we had a fight that was set for January 22 but due to the incapacity of Sebastian Sylvester, the event was canceled. I was devastated, but when I learned that the duel was postponed to the beginning of February I breathed a sigh of relief. Now I feel like Rocky Balboa. He, like me, was condemned to failure, but he didn't give up and fought. I hope that my story will be similar," he concluded.

Yes, Licina is a lot like Rocky. Except that he can't really punch, he lost a big fight and then was put into a fake, easy eliminator against Cora because of his connections, and he is promoted by the corrupt…Post a Comment - View More User Comments (4)
