Les Sherrington Will Headline in Toowoomba on June 7th

Current WBF world middleweight champion and WBO world number 8 Les “Lock N Load” Sherrington is set to headline the “Smithy Brings The Big Fights 4” card at Rumours International in Toowoomba on June 7.

Sherrington, who now trains out of the garden city, said Toowoomba has become his adopted home town.

“The Toowoomba people have welcomed me with open arms” said Sherrington.

“While I’m originally from Townsville and currently living on the Gold Coast, I now do all of my training out of Toowoomba and the support I have received has been amazing and I can’t wait to give something back”.

“I’m also very excited to be fighting at Rumours International. The atmosphere there is electric and I can’t wait to be a part of it on June 7”.

Promoter Brendon Smith said his 4th installment of Smithy Brings the Big Fights will be his biggest yet.

“This will be the biggest fight Toowoomba has seen for over a decade” said Brendon Smith.

“Les is a world rated fighter and we are lucky enough to have the support of our wonderful sponsors, “The Super Seven” all local businesses that we can bring another great sporting spectacle to Toowoomba”.

“At this stage we are in negotiations with opponents from Georgia, Argentina, Japan and USA. Toowoomba can expect another great night on June 7”.

Tickets to “Smithy Brings the Big fights 4” will remain the same as the previous events, that is $45 for general and $75 for ringside.

The night will also feature a stacked undercard which will be released next week.
