WBF World Middleweight champion and WBO world no.8 Les Sherrington, along with WBF Asia Pacific Youth featherweight champion Brayd Smith and “Iron” Will Young led by trainer Brendon Smith are currently undertaking a grueling training camp in the harsh conditions of Thailand.
The Smithy’s Gym boys are joined in camp by Townsville’s Josh King along with his trainer Joe Pennisi.
King is currently in preparations to take on Englishmen Charlie King for the WBF World junior welterweight title on May 24th while Les Sherrington and Will Young prepare for their fights on Smithy’s brings the Big Fights 4 in Toowoomba on June 7.
In what will be a two week training camp as part of the big preparations of their next fights, the boxers will enjoy a wealth of experience as they have been sparring boxers from all over the world such as France, Thailand etc.
“It has been a great change and I couldn’t be more pleased with the progress of these boys this far out from a fight” said Brendon Smith.
“There has been some great sparring and they will all benefit from this experience”.
Tickets to “Smithy Brings the Big fights 4” will remain the same as the previous events, that is $45 for general and $75 for ringside.
