Leo Santa Cruz: Rigondeaux Says I'm Scared - I'm Not!

By Edward Chaykovsky

According to WBC super bantamweight champion Leo Santa Cruz (27-0-1, 15KOs), he is calling the bluff of WBO/WBA champion Guillermo Rigondeaux (14-0, 9KOs). The Cuban two-time Olympic gold medal winner challenged Santa Cruz to a unification and claims the Mexican fighter is scared to accept.

First, Santa Cruz is set to defend his title against Manuel Roman on September 13th as part of the Showtime Pay-Per-View undercard to the Floyd Mayweather vs. Marcos Maidana rematch from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

"Guillermo, he's the one who's been calling me out saying that I'm scared. I want to prove that I'm not scared. I know it's a hard fight for me, but we don't care. I want to give the fans what they want. I want to please them and if they're happy - I'm happy," Santa Cruz said.

Rigo should storm the ring after LSC gets done with his sparring session.
Very disappointing to see these articles missing the main ingredients. Can't they ask why the fight is not happening? Who is preventing it from happening? Don't these media people want to know?
They are pointless articles. There's nothing in there.

This guy needs to realize there's life after Rigo. Just like there's life after Prescott for Khan. There's life after Lara, had Canelo lost the fight. This guy needs to get over with fighting Rigo, win or lose, asap, then…
