Lennox Lewis: Price is Capable of Getting Redemption

By Joe Delaney, courtesy of The Daily Star

HEAVYWEIGHT legend Lennox Lewis has backed David Price to show February’s defeat by American Tony Thompson was a “fluke”.

Lewis has been mentoring the 29-year-old in the build-up to Saturday night’s rematch at the Liverpool Echo Arena.

The defeat – a second-round KO at his home venue – was the first of Price’s career and was a blow to his hopes of fighting for a world title this year.

And Lewis, who retired as undisputed world champion in 2004, said: “He’s in this fight for redemption. He wants to prove to the world this was just a fluke and I think he has got the mental capacity to do that.”

Price believes victory in the bout against Thompson, 41, could be huge for his career and said: “It’s make-or-break time, isn’t it? If I do what I am capable of it will give me the self-belief to overcome big setbacks.”

Take the ACE Hardware Ad off this site. Oh Yeah...Lennox seems a little nervous about David Prices chances against Thompson.
