Lee Selby Says Lindsay Will Prepare Him for Bigger Bouts
Lee Selby is getting geared up for his forthcoming defense of the British and Commonwealth featherweight titles on September 22 at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast, against Ireland’s Martin Lindsay.
Lee, whose younger brother Andrew was knocked out of the London Olympics at the quarter final stage last week, said he is looking forward to the bout.
"I have a long time to prepare for it, almost six weeks, but I’m looking forward to it already," he said.
And the champion is confident, and already planning on the next defense of his British title before he bids for European and then world titles.
"This latest defense will prepare me for bigger fights," he said.
"I’m still learning as I’ve only had 14 professional fights. With these next two defenses I will gain more experience for the bigger titles."
