Lebedev's Team Would Like Jones Clash in March, April

By Ruslan Chikov and Alexander Pavlov

Vladimir Hryunov, the manager of WBA interim-cruiserweight champion Denis Lebedev (23-1, 17KOs), has confirmed that there are ongoing negotiations with WBA full champion Guillermo Jones (38-3-2, 30KOs) of Panama. Jones' promoter Don King is speaking with Lebedev's side.

"Yes, we are negotiating with the team of Jones. We'd like to stage the fight in Moscow in late March or early April," Hyrunov said.

Jones, who only fought twice since 2008, has already started training for the possible fight.

Very good fight. Leb hits like a mule. Jones is skilled. Could go either way.
