Lebedev-Mormeck Proposal Received, Issues Linger

According to boxing promoter/manager Vladimir Hryunov, a lucrative proposal was received for Denis Lebedev (24-1, 18KOs) to defend the WBA's interim-cruiserweight title against former champion Jean Marc Mormeck (36-5, 22KOs) in Paris, France.
However, there are issues that exist from making this fight possible. Mormeck has not been a cruiserweight since 2007 and usually weighs between 215 to 216-pounds for his heavyweight outings. He is not ranked under the WBA at cruiser and last month he was dominated and knocked out in four rounds by WBA/IBO/IBF/WBO champion Wladimir Klitschko.
"We received a very good offer from his team to stage the Mormeck fight in Paris - said Hryunov. "But there are problems that jeopardize that fight. To date, Mormeck is not ranked in the cruiserweight ratings of the World Boxing Association. In addition, Mormeck lost his last fight by knockout to Wladimir Klitschko."
"issues linger?" Like maybe that Mormeck is a fat, old, washed up heavyweight at present? Lebedev was one of my favorite fighters before he decided to concentrate on beating up old-timers. BFD! I may wind up rooting for Huck if…Comment by tripper on 04-15-2012

I actually liked him a couple of years ago and there's still no doubt in my mind that he decisively beat Huck, but there's no defending this or his last two opponents. Complete and utter disgrace.Comment by Enzo Mc is SHIT on 04-15-2012
Lebedev is a ****ing scumbag. The ugly, hairlipped cunt does nothing but beat up old men. Power is the last thing to go so hopefully he'll get sparked by one of his geriatric opponents soon.Comment by TheGreatA on 04-15-2012
Lebedev should stop fighting old men. He has lost his relevancy.Post a Comment - View More User Comments (8)
