By Alexey Sukachev

Two fight cards took place this week in small venues outside of big cities in Russia. Here are some interesting results.

On March 27, undefeated cruiserweight kayo artist Dmitry Kudriashov (13-0, 13 KOs) got yet another early stoppage – this time in Wonderland, Novorossiysk. Kudriashov, a 28-year old banger from Volgodonsk retained his WBC CISBB regional title with the second-round stoppage of fading Czech Lubos Suda (31-9-1, 23 KOs). Kudriashov has been training for this fight in Germany, being a sparring partner for Kubrat Pulev.

On the same card, welterweight Viskhan Murzabekov (8-0, 4 KOs) got a one-sided shutout of ex-BBU light middleweight title challenger Bogdan Protsyshyn (7-9, 2 KOs). Scores were 80-72 – across the boards.

On March 29, at Mashinostroitel in the satellite city of Balashikha, light heavyweight Sergey Ekimov moved to 10-0, with 4 KOs, after the fifth-round stoppage of Tanzanian import Said Mbelwa (26-19-4, 18 KOs). Ekimov decisioned tough Welsh veteran Nathan King two weeks ago. Also, debutant Alexander Sharonov (1-0, 1 KO) stopped Kenyan George Owano (11-11-1, 2 KOs) in three.
