Lara vs. Vanes Purse Bid is Scheduled By WBC For 7/27

The World Boxing Council has started the process of the free negotiations for the final elimination bout between Erislandy Lara and Vanes Martyrosian to determine the mandatory contender in the super welterweight division. If there is no agreement between the parties, a purse offer will be held on Friday, July 27, in the WBC’s Mexico City headquarters.

The WBC's decision is a bit strange when you consider that Vanes vs. Lara was ordered a few week ago and Vanes rejected the fight. Vanes, who won WBC eliminators in the past, wanted an iron-clad contract agreement which guaranteed the winner an immediate shot at Canelo. When he couldn't secure that agreement he walked away from the eliminator. The same result is expected here.
First he said his shoulder wouldn't be healed in time then he said he'll be alright and then priced himself out. I love how you don't wanna give Canelo credit for wanting to fight Williams even though you picked Williams to beat him. :lol1:
You know what I'd love?? F...
What kind a fight fan would I be if I bash Vanes for being tired of title eliminators when the champ ducks the entire division?? Oh wait, that's 90% of boxingscene:sad6:. Hell I put out a 5-1 offer on Vanes with whoever's game. My 1 bill, to anyone's 5.
I agree with ...
