BoxingScene.com briefly sat down with WBA 'regular' junior middleweight champion Erislandy 'The American Dream' Lara (20-2-2, 12KOs), who gave an update on his career, revealed two of the names that he'd like to fight in the near future, commented on the rumors that he's sparring with Manny Pacquiao at Wild Card, and more.

Lara: Things are going great. I have just been training, staying in shape and waiting on the call for my next fight. I'm looking to have a big 2015.

BoxingScene.com: When is your next fight taking place?

I'm waiting on my team to confirm details of my next fight and that will be very soon. I have a great team around me. Al Haymon is changing the sport of boxing and I'm excited to be part of it. I'm very blessed to be in this position and looking forward to the future. PBC is huge for the sport of boxing it's a very special time for the fighters.

BoxingScene.com: Who are the opponents in the running?

You know me Reeno, I'll fight anyone. I'm always looking to fight the best. I love the competition of the big fights like I've had. But one thing that is also important is activity and not waiting around for only the big fights. It's important to stay active and keep [showcasing] my skills. I want to fight Miguel Cotto - he's a great champ. I want to fight GGG - he's a monster. I'm looking to fight them but I also can't wait around for them. Sooner or later they will fight me, time will tell.

BoxingScene.com: There is a rumor going around the internet that you recently sparred with Pacquiao. Pacquiao himself appeared to give a confirmation of that rumor during an exclusive video interview with BoxingScene. Can you confirm?

No, I have never sparred Pacman and my team was never contacted [to spar him]. My main focus is on my career and my next fight and building my legacy. He is a great fighter and I look forward to the big fight on May 2. I wish them both luck and may the best man win.
