In recent article on BoxingScene.com, junior middleweight Carlos Molina (19-4-2, 6KOs) discussed his pursuit of a rematch with Erislandy Lara (15-1-1, 10KOs). Molina and Lara fought to a controversial ten round draw in March of last year. Lara, who faces Ronald Hearns on April 20th, would love to set the record straight. Lara is actually rooting for Molina to defeat the dangerous James Kirkland, and that fight takes place later tonight in Houston, Texas.

"I would love a rematch against Molina and trust me I'm rooting for Molina because I know he has the balls to fight me and I respect him for that. Kirkland would never fight me and his manager would never allow it to happen. That I can guarantee you and you can ask Kirkland yourself. We are both promoted by Golden Boy Promotions and the fight should be very easy to make. Regardless of the outcome, I would love to fight the winner. I'm focused on Hearns first on April 20 and then I'm open to fighting anyone from 147 to 160. I've
said it plenty of times with no response from anybody. So I guess actions speak louder than words and we will see who accepts a fight with me," Lara said.
So does Carlos Molina really have a chance tonight real talk? I know Kirkland is a beast but his chin is questionable. I'm pretty sure if Anstupido hadn't blown his load in the 2nd round of their fight (or was it the very first?) Angulo would have massacred Kirk as was expected.[/QU...
I dint dis like Lara but dude doesn't impress me at all.
I'm not big on Lara, never was. I think he's a quality fighter, just not star material. He showed me something against Williams, though. I thought Erislandy would lose that fight. Regardless, I think Lara is...
I wish Lara manager would shut the f-ck up. I'm tired of dude talking. We know it ain't Lara doing all that talking.
Whether it was Erislandy or his manager making those statements, it's the Lara camp saying that they'd rematch Carlos Molina. That's enough for me. Ca...
