BoxingScene.com recently sat down with former heavyweight champion Lamon Brewster. The 41-year-old captured the WBO title in 2005 and successfully defended it three times before losing a unanimous decision to Siarhei Liakhovich in April, 2006.

When asked for his opinion on the upcoming WBC heavyweight title fight between Bermane Stiverne and Deontay Wilder, Brewster stated that he favored the American underdog.

"I am a Deontay Wilder fan," Brewster told BoxingScene.com.  "I have seen him many times and have loved watching him grow.  I can't say that about Stiverne.  I have only seen him fight twice (versus Chris Arreola).  I don't want to say anything good or bad about him because of that so I have to go with Deontay Wilder because I have liked what I have seen and I have been watching him since the beginning.  Stiverne may be the better fighter but I can't say that because I haven't seen enough of him."
