As IBF, WBO, WBA light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (30-0, 26KOs) and challenger Andre Ward (30-0, 15KOs) meet on Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, the third man in the ring will be veteran referee Robert Byrd.
The three judges ringside will be Burt Clements, Glenn Towbridge and John McKale.
Kathy Duva, the head of Main Events( which handles Kovalev) has no problems with this quartet that was selected by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
"We relied on the Nevada commission to make their recommendations and they're all fine officials, as always," she told BoxingScene.com on Tuesday morning.
Normally in fights of this magnitude the competing factions can express any qualms over certain judges and officials before they are given these assignments.
"Everybody gets to express their concerns before the process is announced and I'm certainly not going to talk about that in the media but we're very happy with the way things turned out," said Duva.
