Koki Kameda Faces Jung-Oh Son on November 19th

By Miguel Rivera

On November 19th, WBA "regular" bantamweight champion Koki Kameda (31-1, 17KOs) of Japan will travel to South Korea to defend his title against hometown fighter Jung-Oh Son (20-4-2, 6KOs). Son has not lost since 2006 but most of his fights since that time have taken place in South Korea. Kameda was granted permission to make the optional defense on the basis that he faces the WBA's super champion at bantamweight, Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno, in his next outing.

He's going because he knows it's a cupcake defense. Probably won't be fighting a meaningful fight outside of Japan
