Heavyweight contender Johnathon Banks, who also happens to be the trainer of IBO/WBO/IBF/WBA heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (60-3, 51KOs), expects a fight with Deontay Wilder (28-0, 28KOs) to happen in the not too distance future. If Wilder continues to go right through the competition, then Banks predicts the showdown will happen.

It is very difficult to tell just how good Wilder really is. He stopped all of his opponents, who were mostly overmatched and scared of Wilder's power before the bell even rang. The date of Wilder's next fight is unknown, but Wladimir faces mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin in the fall.

"I think he has no choice [but to fight Wladimir]. If he keeps going the way he's going, 28-0 with 28 knockouts.....if he keeps going the way he's going - then yes I do see the fight between them happening," Banks said.

The thing is there is only a few big fights there. It's Fury, Povetkin, Pulev and that's pretty much it. (I don't count Haye) Wlad has 10 more fights before he retires I believe. He can do what Mayweather is doing or he can fight 'bums' in the meantime. I prefer the later. After Haye fight, ...
He was floor multiple times in sparring with Wladimir. Wilder is too green IMO. There are better options for Wlad.
Well then this potential fight doesn't mean much to me, IMO Wilder needs a win over Chisora and a win over a top 10 fighter to make it vaguely intriguing. I wa...
from my understand most trainers get 10% or somewhere in that ball park...training wlad is probably more profitable then fighting. if he is getting 10% then he will get $100000 for every million wlad makes...he would stand to make 1.7 million for the povetkin fight. that is bett...
