Klitschko vs Valuev Discussions Taking Place For Kiev
By Ruslan Chikov
Reports coming out of Ukraine reveal that there are ongoing negotiations to match WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (45-2, 40 KOs) against the 'Russian Giant' Nikolai Valuev (53-2, 34 KOs) at the renovated Olympiysky stadium in Kiev, according to Klitschko’s K2 Promotions representative Aleksander Krasyuk. Valuev has been out of the ring since November 2009, when he lost a twelve round decision to David Haye. After his defeat, he underwent numerous surgical procedures to correct a few injuries.
“There is a real opportunity for the Klitschko brothers to fight in Ukraine, and such negotiations are already underway. The battle could be held next year, perhaps before Euro 2012. Nikolai Valuev seems now the most likely opponent,” Krasyuk noted in his interview with the Den newspaper.
I would love to see Vitali destroy Valuev.Comment by hambone on 11-04-2011
Vitali will win but he will also take a few and will injure his iron fists on valuev's iron skull. Maybe vitali will knock some beauty into the "beast from the east" :-)Comment by JAB5239 on 11-04-2011
Lol, his last fight was against Haye and many thought he won. Shows what you know.
And Haye sucks at heavyweight, so what's your point?Comment by JAB5239 on 11-04-2011
