Klitschko vs Mormeck Sells 35,000 Tickets To Big Match

By Ruslan Chikov

According to reports in Germany, over 35,000 tickets have been sold for the heavyweight fight between WBA/IBF/WBO/IBO heavyweight Wladimir Klitschko (56-3, 49 KOs) and ex-cruiserweight king Jean Marc Mormeck (36-4, 22 KOs). The bout takes place on March 3rd at ESPRIT Arena in Duesseldorf. The match has been called by some as "one of the biggest heavyweight title mismatches of the last few years." Despite the huge underdog in Mormeck, Klitschko's star power has no trouble selling tickets or getting boxing fans to attend live events.
This just goes to show how big the Klitschkos are in Europe.
Yes, and it's partly because the media in Europe is not unfairly negative about them.
