Klitschko Suffers Bicep Injury, Pulev Bout Postponed

by David P. Greisman

Heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko has suffered a left bicep injury, pushing back a title defense against mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev that had originally been scheduled for Sept. 6 at the O2 World Arena in Hamburg, Germany, according to German newspaper Bild.

“The fight will be postponed by two months, probably to the end of October,” the article said (via Google Translate).

Klitschko himself confirmed the news on Monday morning.

"I am very disappointed that the fight can not take place as planned. I am in absolute top form and had a great training camp, "said Klitschko. "Of course I'm sorry for the fans, but also for my opponent Kubrat Pulev who has certainly training as intensely as I do."

Damn I was starting to take interest in this one. Well I'd be ****ting bricks if I was Pulev. Hopefully the fight is just rescheduled and not canceled. Bicep injuries sometimes carry a long recovery time...but let's see what they…
I'm just messing around. Although I don't think fury would be a Wlad voluntary. I also don't really see the fight happening anyway, as Wlad will probably have been retired by then.
yea,,im beginning to have my doubts that fury…
