Sources with knowledge of the details have advised BoxingScene.com that junior middleweight contender James Kirkland (31-1, 27KOs) will be heading back to former trainer Ann Wolfe.

Kirkland has been training with Bob Santos in California, but Santos has a scheduling conflict and has to depart in order to join the camp of Erislandy Lara (18-1-2, 12KOs), who is training in Texas to face Austin Trout (26-1, 14KOs) in a Showtime televised fight for the vacant WBA "regular" 154-pound title on December 7th at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

The conflict for Santos comes in because Kirkland is also scheduled to return on December 7th, against undefeated Glen Tapia (20-0, 12KOs) in an HBO televised fight from the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.

Kirkland has trained with Wolfe for the majority of his career and he is undefeated with her in the corner.
