| Khan vs Ortiz Clash Bound To Happen, Says De La Hoya
By Robert Morales Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya confirmed he re-signed super lightweight champion Amir Khan to a long-term deal over this past weekend. Which means he will be promoting Khan for a long time as well. De La Hoya was asked if Khan, who beat Paul McCloskey on Saturday in England, will eventually move up to 147. "Yes," De La Hoya said. "Big boy." Big enough to deal with WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz? "Oh, eventually, that's going to happen," De La Hoya said. "He (Khan) is going to move up to 147. He wants to move up to 147." Tags: Amir Khan , Victor Ortiz , Oscar De La Hoya |

I had Ortiz over Khan before, I'm sticking to it. I haven't seen anything that shows me Khan's chin isn't better and I haven't seen much KO power either. I know Ortiz can punch, I know he'll hit Khan in the exchanges. I'm betting against his chin, just like I bet against Berto's. |
