Palms Resort & Casino, Las Vegas, Nev. - Adrien Broner recently made comments on his social media pages that he would love to fight Amir Khan in the immediate future.
BoxingScene.com caught up with Khan at Saturday night's Jhonny Gonzalez-Gary Russell Jr. fight card where the former champ said that he is very interested in making the fight happen. In fact, he is so interested he said that he was going to talk to his adviser Al Haymon about making the fight.
"I'm open to it big time. I would love to fight Adrien Broner. I am going to speak to Al Haymon about it while I am here and hopefully we can get something done. That could be the next fight," Khan said with one caveat. "That (fight) would be amazing but obviously I can't make below 147. I am a 147 pound fighter so I don't want to go down in weight.
With that being said, Khan isn't too confident that the fight will happen. He said that when it comes down to it be doesn't think the former three division champion will step up to the plate.
"I can't see Broner taking it. He said all this stuff on social media but I can't see him taking it to be honest with you. It would be a big fight," Broner told BoxingScene.com
