If everything goes as planned, we could very well see two big summer showdowns in the junior welterweight division. WBA junior welterweight champion Amir Khan could face WBO/WBC champion Timothy Bradley on July 30. The other possibly fight would pit former champion Devon Alexander (21-1, 13KOs) against Marcos Maidana (29-2, 27KOs). Golden Boy Promotions, who promoted Khan and Maidana, are very interested in putting together both fights.

Khan watched Bradley's ten round technical decision win over Alexander. He wasn't impressed with Alexander. He felt the St. Louis native fought scared and picks Maidana to win their fight without any problems. Khan won a "Fight of The Year" twelve round decision over Maidana in December.

"We are all getting very close to [knowing] who the best 140-pound fighter is. In [the] summer Khan vs. Bradley, and Maidana vs. Alexander. But watching Alexander fight [against Bradley], Maidana would beat him, because [Alexander] has no defense and tip taps. Maidana would go right through him," Khan said.
