Khan: If We Win The Appeal, I'll Give Peterson a Rematch

By Joe Delaney, courtesy of The Daily Star

As previously reported, Amir Khan has called for his controversial defeat against Lamont Peterson to be overturned. The Bolton fighter lost his WBA and IBF light-welterweight belts against the American challenger last Saturday night.

Khan was docked two points before falling to a split-decision in Washington DC. But his camp have now put in an official complaint about the referee and want boxing chiefs to look again at the fight and declare the result void.

“We are trying to get the result overturned, if not then a rematch is going to happen,” Khan said. “Even if the result does get turned over, I would still give Lamont Peterson a deserved rematch. We’ll do it somewhere neutral, not in DC or in the UK. Somewhere like Las Vegas where it will be neutral judging and a neutral referee. We want the rematch just to settle the score."

Khan is nothing but a Prima Donna Twit. He could go into a room with all-time great fighters and think they are all there just to see him. Great seeing Peterson rip him a new hole last Saturday.

'Nowhere in the WBA rulebook does it say pushing isn't allowed'... Dear me... Is Khan serious? He's been boxing since the age of 10... When has he ever learnt to push an opponent in the gym? Anyway, I thought Khan…
