| Khan-Garcia, Mitchell-Banks Heads To The Mandalay Bay

By Osman Rodriguez According to Amir "King" Khan (26-2), the Briton's upcoming HBO televised fight against WBC junior welterweight champion Danny Garcia (23-0) will take place at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The doubleheader is scheduled for July 14th. The fight was originally slated to take place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California on July 7th - but when the pay-per-view involving Juan Manuel Marquez fell through for July 14th - Golden Boy took over the date. Heavyweight prospect Seth Mitchell (25-0-1) will open up the HBO televised portion of the card against Jonathon Banks (28-1-1). Because if Khan doesn't get his belts back, then it isn't a unification and that was the only thing bypassing Ajose's mandatory title shot.

I wish this was in LA but might make the flight from the bay area. Im still bitter that the Khan fight in Vegas last weekend got cancelled. |
