Amir Khan (30-3, 19KOs) is as confident as ever that he has what it takes to ruin the undefeated record of WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (47-0, 26KOs).

Khan is pushing to get Mayweather in the ring, stating that Roy Jones Jr. and Thomas Hearns both tipped him to defeat the pound-for-pound.

Whether or not Khan can get him in the ring is the question. Mayweather has not spoken highly of Khan in recent interviews. Mayweather is claiming that he wants a fight with Manny Pacquiao, but few believe the fight will actually happen in 2015.

"I speak to legends like Roy Jones and Thomas Hearns and they say I would beat him. Even the taxi driver I spoke to in Vegas said he hoped I would knock him out. The people there want to see him humbled. But Floyd is the boss. If he doesn't want to fight me, he won't. He's not the type of guy where I could just turn up to his house and have a chat about it. But maybe all this stuff about me not being a big name is a sign he might be interested, he is starting to promote the fight. I don't think him and Pacquiao will happen," Khan said.
