WBA/IBF junior welterweight champion Amir Khan is throwing water on the circulating story that a possible rift exists between himself and members of Manny Pacquiao's team. Freddie Roach is currently training both boxers at his Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles.

During a recent interview with his hometown paper, Bolton News, Khan revealed that members of Pacquiao's team are not allowing the two boxers to spar with each other and now their training periods are being held on different schedules.

“It’s strange. There’s tension in the camp. My team are cool and I’m just concentrating on Peterson but his team seem to be worried. His camp don’t want me sparring with him and now we train at different times. It’s like they’re keeping us apart. We still see each other when one comes and the other goes, and have a quick chat, but it’s not how it used to be. It’s like his people are thinking there could be a fight between us,” Khan said.

Khan took to the social networks to set the record straight, and says there are no problems as both boxers finally trained together, side by side, as they have many times in the past.

"Me and Manny Pacquiao will not fight. We are friends and don't believe rumors, we have been training together today and everything was fine," Khan answered

Khan's putting to rest a rumor he started, tension he created, and sh!t he made..... dude seriously needs to shut his mouth. I know he's trying to talk up a storm to get a May fight... but it's getting annoying now.
