Hamburg, Germany: Alpaslan Aguzum won the WBC Int´l welterweight title on a split decision over South African Joseph Makaringe at the Sporthalle in Hamburg after a tough fight. It was scored 116-112 and 115-113 for Alpaslan while the third judge had it 115-112 for Makaringe. It was a very even and hard to score contest. Aguzum boxed on the move and scored with the cleaner punches while Makaringe chased. The South African had a point deducted in the eleventh round for a low blow.

WBC Int´l heavyweight champ Sinan Samil Sam retained the title with a unanimous points win over Australian Bob Mirovic. It was scored 118-110, 117-112 and 117-107.

There were no knockdowns but one judge was generous with 10-8 rounds. Mirovic was strong early and had Sam shaken a few times but faded and was close to being
stopped in the eleventh.

Goran Gogic knocked out Adnan Serin in the eighth and final round of a solid matchup at heavyweight. Gogic controlled the action most of the way but was hurt in the sixth. Serin went all out in the last round but was  outpunched and eventually ko´d by a left hook.

Middleweight Mahir Oral knocked out American Genaro Andujar in the fourth. Oral headlines the next Arena promotion on December 15 also in Hamburg when he defends
the EU title against Italian Domenico Spada. At stake is also the vacant WBC Int´l title.

Heavyweight Steffen Kretschmann made his prodebut, but had nothing to beat in Slovakian Michal Roman, who went down and out after only 52 seconds of the first.
