| Kelly Pavlik's Return Being Eyed For March 31 in Texas
|
|
By Rick Reeno BoxingScene.com has been advised that former middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik (37-2, 32KOs) is possibly going to return on March 31st on a Top Rank event being planned for San Antonio, Texas. Pavlik was previously being positioned for the Brandon Rios-Yuriorkis Gamboa undercard on April 14th at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Pavlik, now being trained by Robert Garcia, is eager to hit the ring after being inactive since last May's decision win over Alfonso Lopez on the Manny Pacquiao-Shane Mosley undercard. Agree with alot of you guys about this comeback. I think Pavlik has no real future left in boxing and although I wish him the best, a new career path should be taken. I don't want to see him fall from grace to a punching bag for upcomers for years to come. All too common in boxing. |

I have seen the videos Elie Seckbach puts up on Youtube with him and Robert Garcia they look good together. I think Kelly will be able to string together a couple of wins but not beat the elite level. We will see when the time comes. I'm interested to see his return fight. |

Pavlik is going to get back his title. And guess what? He wont duck Martinez. Pavlik vs Martinez II early 2013 for all the belts. Chavez will blame the knock out loss on being weight drained and will immediately move up to 168.
It has been written.

[QUOTE=dc6112]It's funny that some of you are writing Pavlik off against Chavez, considering Pavlik can KO anyone at 160. He had a close fight with Martinez 2 weeks after checking out of Betty Ford. And their common opponent, Marco Rubio, Pavlik toyed with for 9 rounds before making him quit, whe... |
